Kanefuku Group was established in 1971 as Tofuku Suisan and built its reputation as a food manufacturer by processing octopus. Since those humble beginnings, we have expanded our company to include a quality control department and research laboratory in which safe new products and delicious flavors are being created. Over the years, we have become the leading manufacturer of karashi mentaiko (spicy cod roe).

Pursuing Excellence

Although we have succeeded in becoming an industry leader in terms of sales volume, name recognition, taste, and quality, we are not content to settle where we are. Our company continues to explore new possibilities in the world of mentaiko. 

A few of our opportunities include the use of mentaiko in other foods, sweets, supplements, and diversifying flavors in countries outside of Japan. We also look forward to the continued development of the mentaiko theme park and new products in our current markets.

Our Business

Mentaiko products are the backbone of our business. We are committed to exploring new possibilities through product research and development.

Mentaiko-based seasonings are another Kanefuku specialty. We develop flavors to match diverse lifestyles, diets, and preferences. A few of our products include mentaiko mayonnaise, mentaiko dressings, pasta sauces, and chili oil.

Our traditional Japanese restaurant, Fukutake, specializes in Kyushu cuisine and features many local ingredients, including mentaiko.

We also operate Mentai Park, which is a well-known Japanese theme park. Visitors enjoy a mentaiko manufacturing tour, tastes of fresh mentaiko in the food court, and a museum to learn more about the delicious food and how it is made.
